The topic of the 2016 forum was “From Global Challenges to Grand Manufacturing Opportunities: Leading towards Growth and Sustainability”. The forum and cocktail events gave our business the opportunity to get in touch with the latest manufacturing technology innovations and industry experts from all over the world.

Rapid Armor was invited to attend the Computer Aided Technologies for Additive Manufacturing (CAxMan) Workshop at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. The workshop presented CAxMan and other EU projects supporting future plans for innovation by establishing Cloud based Toolboxes, Workflows and a One Stop-Shop for CAx-technologies supporting the design, simulation and process planning for Additive Manufacturing.

Vaughan Tompson from Graven Designs presented the “Analysis Methodology used during the development of the Rapid Armor bin liner mounting system for an iron ore handling application” on 17 March 2016 at the Engineering Community Conference (ECC2016) in the CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria, South Africa. The topic was presentation under Product Engineering sessions to demonstrate product engineering experiences including lifecycle management, product planning, design and manufacture.
